Greetings!

Ok so let’s forget about the commercialization of Valentine’s Day. I myself have never been a big fan. In fact, it’s a little cheesy. BUT, I am a big fan of meeting the right person and falling in love. I have been overwhelmed lately with a shift that I am not only feeling, but I believe this vast “bubble of romance” will be affecting everyone very soon.

You will see a lot of celebrity couples “REUNITING”. Will we see a re-igniting of the flame between Jen and Brad? Why is the media so obsessed with this couple? I believe it is because they have some unfinished business, and that some tough lessons need to be learned. The marriage broke up before they had a chance to have their “breakthrough”. I heard this a while ago, and the phrase always stuck with me….

“It’s not a BREAKDOWN, it’s a BREAKTHROUGH”

Sadly most couples don’t get tough when the tough gets going. We are addicted to the instant gratification that our fast paced lives have to offer. Unfortunately, these intense bouts of chemical lightening storms usually amount to nothing but ashes. We want that passionate type of love that everyone yearns for. Some say that this type of love is no more real than Santa Claus (and I still don’t doubt good ol’ St. Nick’s existence!).

Ok, I’m going to say it! I truly believe the fairytale still exists, but not without human error and defect. In my case, I’ve been through a lot of what it isn’t. What I thought was once love was nothing more than a dopamine surge that ended up feeling like hitting the dry concrete from a two story building. The quest for that feeling again became so paramount that I would do anything just to feel it again. Sounds a little addict like, doesn’t it?

To me, True love is not a lightning storm, it’s the flame from one small lighter in a dark stadium.

From an intuitive point of view, I’ve been seeing clients for close to 15 years and the topic of love comes up rather frequently. I see the same patterns time and time again. Simply put, a crash follows the high. Some people just like the drama and need a thunderous sea. Calm waters make them restless. I once heard a woman at an event say that her relationship was so normal and boring, that it was making her insane — she started balling crying (I just looked at her like a deer in the headlights) LOL. I don’t believe we are meant to live in a lifeless, boring state within a meaningful blossoming relationship. But two people must be willing to grow spiritually and together. Hence the phrase “we’ve grown apart”.

Growing together means having some growing pains! Not everything is comfortable. As much as I want to run in a field of flowers and hearts everyday, it’s not realistic while learning our life lessons and for true growth of a partnership. I usually only blog on my monthly inspirational message. But I had some free time today, and have been pondering this issue.

Probably because we have the launch of our new dating event, Intuidate, on Friday. I am hoping to shed some light on an intuitive solution in the dating world. It’s really not about dating per se. It’s more about using your innate intuitive skills to align yourself with your destined path. Once you are aligned and “on track”, you will be on your way to finding true love.

Hope you enjoyed my little tangent. There IS a shift going on, so make the best of it. You will find yourself more open, passionate and ready than ever before to finally give it your all in the arena of love. Don’t give up on love just yet, the right person hasn’t given up on you.

Have you been feeling like you really want to RELAX? If so, that’s a great way to feel, because you will FINALLY have some moments to do so. If you have encountered the lightening speeds in January, you know how fast paced the last month has been (and how tough it was to KEEP UP with it)!

Don’t get too spoiled though This first week of February will slow down for you enough to balance yourself and then you’ll be off to the races again starting on February 14th. Pat attention to your speeds on the roadways and make sure you are not too distracted!

Take this first week to be kind to yourself. You will be feeling a very nice energy moving through you right now — take a bubble bath, heat up some tea, read your favorite magazine and kick up your heels (with slippers and your chocolate BON BONS of course).

If you are like me, you don’t like to sit still, or better yet you feel a little guilty for taking some time to yourself. I enjoy being productive (sometimes to a fault), but it’s best right now to go with the flow and unwind. Balance is necessary to your overall health especially in the upcoming weeks of movement. Don’t push yourself too hard, or find things to do just to “busy” yourself. It’s really important right now to meet your essential requirements: sleep, alone time, and good meals — and of course I would suggest some good gossip magazines for the ladies! I always get a laugh with those. Enjoy the energy this week — be in the moment.

What a great way to start off the holiday season — with a lot of downtime to browse your favorite stores! Luckily, this holiday season will not be as hectic as usual. The energies are slowing down for a Mercury Retrograde the day after Christmas. Normally a retrograde falling during a busy work period is not profitable, but over the holidays, the energy slow down is a welcome event!

If you are looking to concentrate on work and business this month, you may want to lower your expectations. Don’t worry, the start of the year will be packed with movement and exciting news. Enjoy this slow period. Giving or donating time, money and gifts during this holiday season may seem counterproductive due to the tough economic times, however it is imperative that you do so! The more freely you give during this time, the more opportunities you will receive in the new year. This is a time when giving is of the utmost importance. Non profit organizations and especially animal shelters are seeing close to a 30% decline in donations.

Think about giving in energetic terms. Giving and receiving need to be in balance. If you are ONLY GIVING, it is just as depleting to your abundance, health, and especially your finances. Saying NO is important over this holiday season, because even though the energy is slow, you will find yourself to be uncharacteristically tired. GET CREATIVE! If you can’t spend a lot of money, create something - creating keeps you in a flow and automatically charges your life force energy!

Give a gift to someone who is not expecting one. AND MAKE SURE YOU RECEIVE graciously and without needing to balance it out in return. Allow yourself the joy of giving without expectation. If money is an issue, donate your time over the holiday season. Many local animal shelters are overpopulated and the dogs really appreciate walks! Plus spending time with an animal during a stressful time can really GIVE BACK TO YOU!

Fear, lack and worry DO NOT make our lives more abundant — and when this goes to the extreme, you may find that obsessively saving is not creating abundance either. Take one step toward freely giving of your heart in any way you can. Opening yourself up to this will bring you not only joy, but a feeling of wanting to give more! Try to ask yourself this holiday season — are you giving out of obligation or because it’s within you?

This month is a time to reevaluate your life in its entirety. Get rid of EVERYTHING that no longer serves you. Holding on to anything will only hold you back. This year is a year of change, but only the drastic leaps will be immediately recognized by the universe. Maybe you’ve cleaned your home, but did you rid yourself of all your emotional clutter? Holding on to the past will only hurt you! Most of the people that we are angry at no longer think of us at all. You are not getting anyone back by holding grudges or “they should haves”. The truth is that in a lot of times in our life, our expectations haven’t been met. But this doesn’t mean that it’s not possible now. Focusing on “what hasn’t been” will only take you away from “what is now” and the ultimate possibilities of what could be.

If you could do anything for yourself, try forgiving someone right now. Who is the first person that comes to mind? Whether you like it or not, this is the person you have to forgive. Forgiveness does not mean calling them up, or even speaking to them. This is solely for your own peace of mind.

You don’t have to forgive the actions, but you do have to wish well for them in your heart. Tell the universe that you wish all the blessings for them that you would want for yourself, and ask the universe in return to change you. Reflect  on this person. Were your expectations not met? Did they not give you something you wanted? Did they take something away from you that you had? If the answer is yes, then your feelings are coming from a place of self-centeredness.

Sometimes, we place unrealistic expectations on others that cannot possibly be met. Say this mantra for ten days and watch what happens! Anything is possible. Finally write down one aspect of your life you are grateful for every day. You will see that you have far more now to be grateful for!

November 2009 Inspirational Message From Marisa Pell

Greetings:

You may feel a little sluggish all month — trying to push yourself to get your work done and feeling that you have absolutely NO ENERGY to do it. Think of your high school homework to get you in the mood. Remember how you would do everything BUT what you needed to do to avoid doing your homework or studying for that exam? Think of how it relates today!

And think about how it got done. Whether it was the night before, or a 10 minute cram on the due date, one thing is for sure. You had to just get yourself to SIT DOWN AND START. That is the hardest part.

So think about how you are beating around the bush this month and be honest with yourself about what it is that YOU have to just SIT DOWN AND START (or finish). I know for me — the one thing I put off is cleaning and organizing. However, if there is something else I really want to avoid doing, you can bet money you will find me CLEANING to avoid having to get the other work done! Can you relate?

The hardest part is just SITTING DOWN AND BEGINNING. The rest will flow. Most likely this relates to personal goals surrounding you this month.

Now onto career. I received a question from a client on Facebook about needing some insight about getting work in today’s economy and I promised to incorporate this into this month’s inspirational message.

Sometimes, energetically, we place our fate into other people’s hands. The belief is that our abundance is “out of our control” and that other people need to provide us with the opportunities to make our dreams happen — or else we are s%^& out of luck.

This is an illusion that gives all of your power away — and sometimes gives you an excuse to be lazy. Is laziness a character defect? Yes, in some instances. However, some of you may not make the effort because you are afraid of success! Yes, I know it sounds absurd. Some don’t believe they DESERVE happiness, and are more comfortable when times are tough. Where do you fit in?

Also, you may become afraid of actually being uncomfortable because something is AN EFFORT. We are used to instant gratification. Everything in our world is fast. If we want FAST FOOD, we go through a drive thru. How quick are we to get tempered when we have to wait a few minutes for the drive thru attendant to ask for our order? As a culture, we don’t like to WAIT for much. Why should we? We have most of what we want at our fingertips — look at technology today.

The question becomes: How much are you in control anyway? If you are in line with the universe, amazing things can happen. If your will (what you WANT for yourself) is stronger, you can definitely make a mess of the opportunities that are meant for you.

Think about this: Could it be possible that the universe has things in store for you that are much BETTER than you could think of yourself? Reflect on all the things that you thought were “BAD” that happened in your life, and now look back on all the GREAT events that happened as a result of that door closing. Would you have people or a job in your life now if a door didn’t close at some point?

Sometimes if you don’t listen to the gentle urges of the universe to end something, it is ended for you. It no longer serves you. Don’t leave cat claws on the wall trying to hold on to it!!

Also, why wait for others to give you the “break” you need? Every business has been created from an inspired IDEA.

Some questions to ask yourself:

• What is your idea?
  
• Do you have something new and inventive to share with the world?
  
• What are some creative ways for you to make some money while you are waiting for a company to hire you?
• What did you want to do when you were a kid?
• What tasks bring you positive energy?
• If you could make a full time living doing one thing, what would it be?
• Is this something you have the ability to create?
• Are you anxiously waiting for SOMEONE ELSE to do it for you?
• What are you procrastinating about?
• Make a goal list for yourself for the next 6 months (written not typed).
• If looking to get hired: think of creative ways to get employer’s attention. Don’t rely on e-mail submissions.
• Find out the weaknesses in the company and propose a plan to meet their needs
• EXTRA EFFORT IS REQUIRED!!!
  

Perhaps you have answered these questions, and now are asking. Ok, then what do I have to do? Don’t get overwhelmed! Take one small step in your desired direction. Maybe do a little online research or check out a book on the topic. Anything will help you to move forward and put the intention out there.

Worrying will do nothing.

October 2009 Inspirational Message From Marisa Pell

Greetings:

Wow do we have some energies coming in! In the past few weeks, the frustration mounted because nothing seemed to be moving forward. Now, the energy is moving at lightening speed and you may feel overwhelmed with everything that’s coming your way! That’s a good thing!

This is the BEST month for new opportunities — but don’t just keep your eye on one prize. This will keep you tunnel visioned to be limited in what you receive this month. It’s like the universe is throwing money out of the sky (not real money — symbolic abundance!) Gather as many opportunities as you can, because you are truly LIMITLESS. This is a month of magic in terms of the amount of abundant opportunities you could receive.

However, don’t get caught in the whirlwind and let the opportunities swirl around you without taking them!! Those who are too analytical will watch as other seem to prosper and they are sitting there dazed up at the sky wondering why good things aren’t coming to them. Why you ask? Because the opportunities aren’t necessarily what YOU HAVE IN MIND!

You may see opportunities hit, but because you want things a certain way you may bypass them because they aren’t exactly what you had planned. You might rationalize that you are going to pass them up and wait for the perfect opportunity! In this case, you will be played the fool. Sometimes, the universe is sending us in a much better direction. This direction may be light years better than anything we have envisioned for ourselves! Do not underestimate the mysteries of the universe. If you just FLOW, you may see that you are headed exactly in the direction of your dreams and visions.

Taking your will into your own hands this month will not lead you to your most promising goals. If you agree to get on the roller coaster, just go for the ride. If something is presented to you, do it. If a person comes in to your life, give them a chance. If you are sick, and someone presents you with alternative information, TAKE IT! DO NOT QUESTION IT!

This doesn’t mean it will be the right fit for you, but it may lead you in a miraculous new direction. What do you have to lose? Think about a lantern lighting your way in complete darkness. You don’t see the end point. But you do see each step along the way. KNOW THAT YOU DON’T KNOW, and leave how you want things to happen out of your head.

Of course, you can always wait for what you want, but magic doesn’t happen that way — and life can become quite boring. This is also a

month to tell others of your dreams and desires and watch how they help you bring them to light!

This is no time to “figure it out” or ruminate of your lack of abundance. Just take action, and great things will follow — just not what you expected

Ok, so I don’t want any of you freaking out just yet. If you feel like you have been spinning in circles over the past week, you’re not alone. Yes, you may have guessed it. We are currently in another mercury retrograde period! If you are unaware of this astrological aspect, just google it, and you will see how you can maximize your time during the next three weeks.

First, let me just say that the worst is over. The past week has been brutal, both with misunderstandings, negotiations and plain communication. It would have been best to just shut your phone, computer and tv off — and said goodbye to the outside world for a few days. But, sometimes in life that isn’t possible. Work, school, and children still need our attention.

So here’s the good news! We are in a little “gold mine” over the next few days before another slow down hits. This is a great time to promote your products, services or to plainly shine in your endeavours! Don’t waste time right now, as the retrograde will start to dip into a slow period later on this week. Make your phone calls, finalize your schedule and get any busy work taken care of as you will be very productive until Thursday of this week. Over the next few days, beware of “putting things off” as it may kick you in the butt later in the month.

Writing in all forms will be beneficial during this retrograde. Pay attention to your inner process whether that be writing for fun, getting things off your chest in a journal, or putting together ideas for publication. If I could give you one adamant “suggestion” — get things in order!! October will come sooner than you think, and you will be too bust to play catch up. Don’t let small things hold you back. Organization is the name of the game, and believe me I have to take my own advice. I tend to know exacly where things are in my mess! But this is not a time to stick to old routines when it comes to being prepared for a big leap around the Halloween season. So, ladies and gents…GET YOUR DUCKS IN A ROW! You’ll be happy you had the heads up.

Now, as far as romance goes, this is a very gentle time in that arena. You may find comfort and solace within the whirlwind with your significant other this month. If you are single, it may be profitable to “mend your fences” and make amends with the past. Those you have hurt will be more receptive to you this month. Remember, being prepared isn’t just about organizing your papers. This applies to your love life too! Be prepared for BIG LEAPS. Some of you may hear of proposals in the fall, or a big move by couples who are in long distance relationships. Be prepared if you are the procrastinator for your significant other to make a BOLD MOVE before you think you’re ready to commit. Go with it! You will regret it if you don’t, because your partner is indeed set on his/her decision.

This month requires you to get out of your head and into serious action. Things around you may slow down, but take it as a ‘hint’ from the universe to get yourself together. The time is being freed for you to make your preparations. You may also see a lot of international travel in the fall. Take the leap when it is presented or you will be left behind in the dust — while others around you will indeed be celebrating!

Over the next few weeks get together with old friends and have some fun. The fall season is sure to be one of mysteries that will lead to your “pot of gold”

July Inspirational Message From Marisa Pell

Greetings!

There is no time to waste this month. It’s time to get down to business, and start moving forward. Starting over the fourth of July holiday weekend, a very powerful energy vortex opened up.

This vortex is VERY POSITIVE and supports all those in the creative fields. If you are currently attached to a creative project or work in the arts, this will be a very successful month for you. The energy of the past few months has been very turbulent and stale. Now that we have new energy flowing in, nothing can stop you!

Go back to all those projects which you haven’t completed and take a fresh look at them. Once we hit mid August, things will shift again to a slight halt, so get everything completed now. The window may be small, but the opening is vast, so much can be accomplished.

Creativity does not have to come in the form of being an actual artist! If you are in business, creativity may come in the form of taking a new risk with a promotion or product. You may feel the urge to move furniture around, repaint, or buy some unique artwork for your home. If you are looking the refresh the home, now is a great time to get rid of clutter. A summer yard sale would be very lucrative!

This is a month of skin problems and burns, so be very careful even if you are not in the sun. Watch yourself while gardening, or grilling, as there is a very careless energy in place this month. This energy will make you less cautious, but more prone to minor injury. If you are doing any home renovations, (i.e. getting on ladders, going on your roof, or doing any handy work), take extra precaution — especially with the ankles, feet and Achilles tendons. If you play tennis or run, make sure you are cautious if you have a weak ankle or foot.

Water sports are ok, but be aware of waterparks, wave pools and waterslides. Because of the energy of minor cuts and mass population, be careful of infections, as open wounds or small cuts on the feet by the general public can generate infection. Wear flip flops or water shoes when attending theme parks on very hot days. You’ll be more in luck on warmer overcast days.

All in all, this is a very good month for business (even though it might be slow — great consumer interaction), health, and definitely romance!! A day trip or picnic with your loved one or friend will make you very happy!
